It actually came put together wrong. Not big deal but i had to unscrew the base and flip it around to get it the right way to screw it to the wall.

This simple flashing piece of plastic completely does the job — for less than $10, it’s enough of a visual deterrant, seems to hold up fine in all kinds of outside weather, and looks enough like the real thing.
You often get what you pay for, but if you need a simple and realistic dummy camera, this fits the bill.

With everyone having cameras these days, I figured people would believe this fake one. And they do. I’ve had contractors ask me why I’m watching them as they work. I’ve had neighbors ask about the transmission rate of the camera. Everyone believes this camera and it cost a fraction of a real one.

> It mounts easily with included screws (only 2 of the 3 are really needed). It’s well built and about the right size/form factor for verisimilitude. The clustered fake LEDs are quite convincing.
> I mounted mine on a telephone pole behind my mail box where we’ve had several mail thefts in my neighborhood of late (see pic with yellow circle on the ‘camera’). It’s conspicuous enough to be seen by would-be thieves but not so obvious as to scream ‘fake’.
