The X2TC trigger works as advertised but only after I applied a firmware upgrade. Out of the box the trigger would not boot. The LCD would light, but there was no menu visible. The XT2C was also not recognized when on my camera’s hot shoe. To be fair, while the X2TC is designed to work with Canon EOS cameras, I am using a Canon EOS Rebel SL3 that does not have a standard hot shoe so it is difficult to find a trigger or speedlight that is compatible with it.
I had read that there was an update for this trigger so to solve the problem, I went to the Godox website. I found the website was easy to navigate but not because the English was easy to understand. I found the G3 installation software and Canon EOS firmware easily enough though. Installing the firmware was easy and the X2TC upgraded without issue. Once the update completed the trigger booted up and was also recognized by my camera.
I really like using the XT2C trigger now that it is functioning properly.
I would have given the XT2C a 5 star rating but because of the required firmware upgrade and the poorly written English versions of the manual and website I was not able to do so.
I do want to mention that the seller, Pergear was very responsive to my questions and concerns when I contacted them through Amazon. I got a response within 24 hours and while they didn’t have an opportunity to help me with my issue, their rapid response made me feel better about my purchase.

I’ve purchased three over the last six months. One was dead on arrival. The other did not work properly with 30% misfires. Only the last one works, but it stays in the bag because I can’t trust it. I wished it worked. I like the compact form. But reliability is more important. I’ve had no issues with several xPro units I’ve purchased over the years.

This would not connect with my current Godox 600BM and 600 pro, returned and purchased the X1T.

Instructions well written. Don’t forget to find resources on YouTube. Pairs perfectly with my Godox TT600 flash.

I advise to go to YouTube to learn how to use this device. It is easy to set and you can adjust the flash parameters directly from this trigger. It is a big help for flash photography. All flashes are controlled from this trigger.

First I purchased the Godox X Pro-C. It sent the settings to the flashes, and sent the modeling light fine, but wouldn’t trigger the flashes. Sent it back as defective and got another one. That one didn’t work at all. Then I purchased this X2T-C. It worked straight away on my Canon 5D Mark IVs and is triggering my 3 Godox AD100s. Hooray!

I’ve stated in another review for Godox speed flash that I am able to use the transmitter to sync up said speed flash and my Godox AD600pro to use simultaneously in photo sessions. Just make sure to choose the correct version for your camera brand. (Canon, Sony etc).

Sits on your cameras hot shoe.

I don’t know how to take it off! The first time I attached it to my camera, it stuck.
I bought the Godox V1 and the X2 transmitter, the Speedlight has the same lock, and it works!

Will buy over the pro or X1. Great “in the middle” product.

Works like a charm. DO NOT waste any time reading the accompanying manual – it will drive you crazy. The official Godox user seminar is at least as bad; it is in, I guess, Mandarin, with English subtitles. There are some excellent YouTube tutorials which are as clear as a bell and in my case was only 6:21.
