I gave 5 star rating because the camera is the big deal here. I love the hero 4 but my problems came when they sent me the charging cable for a go pro 5 or something else cause it didn’t fit any port on either the camera or Battery charger so i couldn’t even charge a battery!!!

I bought it to make some filming out in the desert racing RZRS up to 80 miles per hour going through anything you can think of… and it delivered alright… I’m very glad and satisfied I went with my GoPro hero 4 Silver edition instead of the Black edition which cost more plus this one has the screen in the back and the black version doesn’t have it. Besides I didn’t want to go with Hero 5 so my choice was good and I don’t regret it… I got the right camera for what I need.

I bought this as a gift and found something wrong with it without even opening. The gasket that seals the housing was sticking out of the side of the cover. I shouldn’t have to open it up, pull it apart, fix some quality control item and try to reseal the box to pass off as unopened, just to have no guarantee that it won’t leak. I think this is worth taking a star off.

We bought this before going on a trip to Southeast Asia, definitely worth the money! I was very pleased with the quality of footage,battery duration, and housing unit. We took this camera everywhere and have great footage from exploring caves, riding motorbikes, snorkeling, and from just everyday use. This camera was very convenient to carry around and I ended up using it more than my Nikon. We debated between this model and the newer more expensive edition, I am very happy with purchasing the HERO4 Silver.
Pros: high quality footage and pics, small convenient size for travel, screen on the back, additional battery, battery life
Cons: mic location picks up noise from handling, some rusting already evident in the screw locations in the housing unit (still no signs of water entry though)

I needed a GoPro, to mount on my Solo 3DR. Then most current release from GoPro, the Hero 5, will NOT work. It mounts differently and lacks the required connections. The Hero 4, on the other hand, is exactly what Solo built their quad to use for video and photo. It works very well. I like the versatility of the GoPro. There are many knockoffs out there, at much lower prices. (I have more than a few, for my other quads that don’t have interfaces for the camera.) But, this camera really can’t be beat for it’s purpose and versatility.

Everything came as expected and as stated by the seller. I’m loving my new GoPro and absolutely recommend buying this one with an extra battery and the dual charging port. The package arrived exactly on time and even with a nice hand written note from the seller. Cool touch. I highly recommend this product and seller.

Could not be more pleased with the GoPro. I bought it so I could record the fun stuff I did while I was in Costa Rica and the videos that I captured with it are just breath taking. The quality is unmatched and it really takes me back to the moments that I lived down there. Defiantly worth the buy.

To me, who is not that techie, this camera was very complicated. I wish I had bought a simple camera that I can just snap pictures or videos with.
