Worked right away… now I can use my Go Pro 8 as a webcam (among other things). Awesome product and obviously not like other cables.. this one is longer which allows you to place your Go Pro 8 up to 6 ft away from the system that is operating your media machine! AWESOME product!!!

When my Hero 7 is plugged into my desktop USB 3.0 port, with this cable, the GoPro is not accessible in File Explorer or Quik, though visible in Device Manager. I discover that if I plug it into a USB 3.0 hub instead of directly into the computer, it works OK. On my laptop’s USB 3.0 ports, everything works fine. I will be replacing this with a better cable, though, because I need a higher transfer rate.

This product does not have the capacity to handle the amount of audio/video data from the GoPro Hero 9 Black. It does not work with the camera. Period. The only ones that work are from GoPro. The GoPro cables have a proprietary data chip that enable the data transmission. Stop putting up products without testing them. It simply wastes our time.
What it should say is Not Compatible with GoPro Hero 9. Honesty will win you more costumers. But you have forever lost this one. I gave you two chances and you failed.

I purchased this cable to use with my GoPro Hero 8. The extra length (6FT) works great in my car.

Needing to charge the device without sitting right on top of a computer or the adapter plugged into a wall is great with the length of this cable. Works as stated. Combined with the ability to use as a webcam for a GoPro this cable allows that to work and place the camera in the location best suited.
