Overall, this entire thing is metal so obviously it’s built solid. At first it worked like a charm. I rigged up my camera into a shoulder rig and everything was great. Broke it down and a few days later, upon rigging up again everything attached and screwed in tightly. Until I had to readjust the positioning of the grips. The wing nut was stripped and just kept spinning so I couldn’t loosen the grip from the middle rails part. The rosette had it locked into position. I had to pull back the spring loaded wing nut, and get some needle nose pliers to turn the screw. Had that not worked, I would’ve had to use a drill and totally destroy it by drilling through the wing nut, into the screw to release the handle. I immediately sent this back.

I will say this could’ve been an isolated incident but just in case, I purchased a different kit with comfortable handles.

Which brings me to my last minor gripe. As much as I appreciate the metal handle with quarter 20 screw holes for potentially rigging more to it if need be, clutching these handles with a 10-14 lb rig starts to hurt my hands over time. My skin on my hands were getting sore and even more calloused by gripping this tightly.

Everyone’s experience will be different based on rig weight, hand size etc so just keep everything I said in mind but know that Niceyrig makes solid stuff that I currently own and LOVE. This one was just not for me.

the mount piece wiggles around a bit, had to use some loctite to keep the screws from loosening. If you do that its fine. Other issue is its just overall hard to grip, especially if you have sweaty hands. find myself constantly readjusting.

The handles are solid metal and feel very reliable for use with a heavier rig… however, as another user stated, the rosette mount is held to the rail mount by 4 tiny screws. These screws are the weakest link in the design. You can screw the 5/8″ thumbscrew as tight as you’d like but the rosette portion will still have some wiggle in it. Occasionally I have to remove the handle and tighten these screws down to achieve a solid contact, but it doesn’t last long at all. I’ve considered using Loctite or something similar to permanently fix the problem. So, while these are a great value for your rig, you pay in the end. Nothing like shooting with a wobbly handle.

I used handle Grips for holding my BMPCC 6K. Nice design. Sturdy and Light weight. Great for money that I paid for it. There are many 1/4″ and 38″ thread holes. You can use for many accessories. (Hot shoe adapter, Monitor arm ,etc)

For the price it seemed like a good buy. The handles are also very versatile. The problem is solely with the screw and rosettes. The mechanism inside that allows the screw to be disengaged by pulling on it must have stripped. I didn’t tighten it very much either. I bought two sets of these and they are both having this issue. The rosettes are also loosening themselves more than they should during operation. The design is pretty good, but the execution is off.

Two arms on two different sets cannot be adjusted now and over time, when the rosettes loosen, the entire thing will become useless.

I know the price is tempting, that’s why I bought them, but save your money and buy one of higher quality. A brand you know you can trust.

I use these for my red Scarlett. Was worried they wouldn’t be sturdy enough, but they work great.

Great value and sturdy for my shoulder rig. Handles are a bit uncomfortable but ability to mount to them makes up for it.
